Barreleye Mobile: What’s New in the Field App

Barreleye makes water planning simple, giving head office teams the tools they need to build optimized, executable plans. But even the best plan is only as good as the feedback behind it.

Barreleye Mobile closes the loop by giving field staff a fast, seamless way to capture truck tickets, meter readings, and other operational data directly from the field. That information flows back into Barreleye automatically, allowing planners to compare actuals against plan, identify variances, and continuously improve operations over time.

In this latest release of Barreleye Mobile, we've made that field experience even better with faster workflows, improved usability, and new features that make collecting accurate operational data easier than ever.

A refreshed look, built for the field

We rebuilt the interface from the ground up: cleaner navigation, obvious notifications, consistent colors and badges, and much-improved date/time and numeric entry. The result is a screen your crew can read at a glance, and act on quickly.

The most-requested addition? Crystal clean notifications when you have un-sync'd data because it was entered in the field, outside of cellular service.

Now on tablets and iPad

Barreleye now takes full advantage of tablet and iPad-style displays. Multi-column navigation lets your team see more at once, lists and detail side by side, so there’s less tapping back and forth and faster decisions in the field.

Best of all, the phone experience stays identical. Move between a tablet in the truck and a phone on the lease without relearning a thing.

Photos and location, right where the work happens

The application now highlights the nearest job to avoid entering a ticket against the wrong Job.  You’ll also get a heads-up during ticket creation if you’re far from the source, catching mistakes before they become bad data downstream.

You can now capture photos directly within the app, attached to the right ticket the first time. Every ticket is geotagged at the point of logging, so the record reflects exactly where the work happened.

Sync you can trust, security you don’t have to think about

“Did that sync?” shouldn’t be a guessing game. Barreleye now shows a clear indication when you’re offline and exactly which changes are pending, plus a stale-data warning if it’s been too long since the last sync.

Security is stronger, too. We've made a series of improvements behind the scenes to keep your data and devices better protected, with no extra steps for your team. And better logging means that when a sync issue does come up, it's far easier to troubleshoot.
